Supporting the mental health of children during wartime is a highly complex and sensitive issue, especially for those who lived under the occupation of Russian forces.
❓ How do we communicate with them?
❓ How can we help effectively?
❓ And most importantly, how do we avoid causing harm?
These are daily challenges faced by civilian-military cooperation workers, police officers, State Emergency Service staff, and mobile teams across all de-occupied territories of Ukraine.
To address these critical needs, we are conducting a series of training sessions as part of the Global Course on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) for children during wartime.
From September 21–23, a training session will take place for participants from Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
The “Supporting the Mental Health of Children in De-Occupied Territories of Ukraine” Project is implemented by the Boston Children's Hospital's Global Health Program of Harvard University (USA) in partnership with the NGO “Community Self Help” (Ukraine).
