The Intervention Pyramid: Organizing Support for Children’s Mental Health
05.12.2024

The intervention pyramid illustrates the levels, roles, and formats in which mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services are provided during emergencies, including armed conflicts.

Why is it essential to understand how the intervention pyramid works?

🔵 To determine when and under what circumstances specialists collaborate in providing support.

🔵 To assess the appropriateness of assistance based on the community's needs.

During the training sessions of the project “Supporting Child Mental Health in De-Occupied Territories of Ukraine,” participants explored the interaction between the levels of the pyramid and the specific roles of service providers at each level in detail.

This project is implemented by the Global Health Program of Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard University (USA), in partnership with the NGO "Community Self-Help" (Ukraine).
