Supervisory Session for Specialists in Mykolaiv Region Supporting Children in Challenging Conditions
31.10.2024

As part of the project “Supporting Child Mental Health in De-Occupied Territories of Ukraine,” a supervisory session was held for police officers, State Emergency Service staff, civilian-military cooperation workers, and mobile teams operating in de-occupied areas of Mykolaiv.

The session featured experienced supervisors, Dr. Suzan Song and Marta Pyvovarenko, Head of the MHPSS Quality Assurance Department. Together with the participants, they reviewed real-life cases involving children who required informational and emotional support. The session focused on identifying effective solutions using the skills and tools provided in previous project trainings.

This exchange of experiences and the support of colleagues and supervisors contribute to improving both work processes and the emotional resilience of each specialist involved.

The project "Supporting Child Mental Health in De-Occupied Territories of Ukraine" is implemented by the Global Health Program at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard University (USA), in partnership with the NGO "Community Self-Help" (Ukraine).
