In 2023, the NGO "Community Self-Help" implemented the following projects:

  1. "Cognitive Process Therapy for Psychologists Working with Veterans, IDPs and Other Vulnerable Groups" (Ukrainian-American Programme to Overcome Psychological Trauma and Related Conditions Associated with the Full-scale Russian Invasion of Ukraine) conducted by an experts from the NGO "Community Self-Help» and Wayne State University (US) with financial support UNDP Ukraine

  2. Joint fundraising for paramedic backpacks by Veteran's NGO, Ukrainians in Colorado NGO and Community Self-Help NGO - 5 paramedic backpacks were collected and purchased. Many thanks to Kevin Cohen for his help with the purchase and transportation to Ukraine.

  3. Christmas Book Project. Support for children of IDPs and Defenders (Lviv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv regions),with financial support HUDSON VALLEY HELPS REFUGEES INC & Highland Rotary Club (US)

  4. Supporting the Defenders with medicines, overalls, tactical footwear, etc. Thanks to the support of Olga Onyshko (USA), Maxim Kovalchuk (Canada) and others.

  5. A project to provide vitamins to IDP women and children. The project "Distribution of Vitamins to IDPs in Lviv: pregnant women, lactating women and young children" in Lviv together with the Japan Agency for Development and Emergency (JADE) with the financial support of the Japan Platform (JPF, MOFA Funding)

  6. Support for Ukrainian firefighters by American firefighters With the support of Middletown South Fire District Fire Department and Ukrainians in Colorado NGO

  7. Support for hospitals in Dnipro and Mykolaiv in partnership with the WHO Health Cluster and the ICF "Assistance to Children", with the support of Andriy Barchyshyn and the community in London, Lorraine Mischuk (Canada)

  8. Psychological support for veterans and IDPs through Olga Onyshko's author's method - Storytelling (My Story, My Power) with the support of Olga Onyshko, Marta Pyvovarenko, Vitalii Kharechko and the Community Self-Help, American House Lviv, Media Library.

  9. Support for the "VITALITY\ Psychologist's Package" application, with the help of which psychologists assess the client's condition (screening)

  10. Implementation of NATO standards in military education. Memorandum of Cooperation between the Military Institute of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and NGO Community Self-Help

  11. Advocacy of the "Veteran's Journey Maps" with in collaboration with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine

  12. At the request of Harvard University, the Self-Help Community NGO improved the script of a video on psychological support for children
